Week 2 in Finland was a little more social for me, as I met people through my free Finnish classes, the university, and the Fulbright program. What I notice most about the Finns is that beyond their quiet, private ways they are extremely honest, kind, and patient. From thanking the bus driver, waiting for the light to change without fretting or jay-walking, and working to make sure I understand them, they are wonderfully considerate. I hope to learn from their ways and to pay attention to nature and the details as they do. Kiitos to everyone, including and especially the young stranger who helped me get up from the snow when I twisted my ankle!
Sounds like the experience is going wonderful. Sorry to hear you twisted your ankle though. Take care and look forward to hearing more.
